Taps Across the Water at Dusk

Chautauqua-Wawasee and Syracuse American Legion Post #223 are collaborating for a Memorial Day tribute to honor veterans and those who have died in the performance of their duties while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
 
We request one full minute of silence by all in attendance at 9:08 pm.  At 9:09 pm, Taps will play simultaneously by buglers strategically placed around Lake Wawasee, Syracuse Lake, and Papakeechie Lake.  Both solo and echo rendition of Taps will be audible depending on your location.  Participating musicians include members of our community and surrounding areas, including veterans, community bands, high schools, educators, and professionals.

The organizers are seeking buglers who wish to participate by performing in the event.  Interested buglers (or trumpeters) should contact Debbie Yankosky at 574-377-7543 or Chris Longenbaugh at 574-529-0566 for more information.
