The disciplinary process for all employees must start long before there is a problem. Many times leaders do not realize the importance of their role as coach to their staff until it’s too late. This training session will focus on three key process areas that leaders often struggle with when their employee’s performance slips.
The time spent building a strong relationship with your team when things are running smoothly is integral to the later phases. The disciplinary process itself has many pitfalls that can trip up managers, even those who have been managing for a long time. The biggest dilemma leaders may face is when the time for the termination of employment comes up and they feel lost on exactly what should be done, how it should be done and how to avoid legal issues.
Attendees at this session will leave feeling confident and competent in handling what can sometimes be the tougher, more negative side of people management, and will be provided tools and a roadmap for navigating through employee relations issues. Attendees that are in the HR profession will also leave with skills to help develop your organizations leaders to be prepared when these situations arise.
